Advantages4

Things in the rules that work in your favor.

  • No stated limit on the number of separate Free Entry Method envelopes a person may send; the only cap is one request per envelope.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 4

“Limit one (1) entry code request per outer envelope.”

  • Grand-Prize winner may take a cash prize instead of the vehicle(s).

Show the rules' wording· sec. 9

Show the rules' wording· sec. 4

“No service charge or fee will apply to this method of entry.”

  • Previous Dream Giveaway winners remain eligible to enter again (no prior-winner exclusion in these rules).

Show the rules' wording· FAQ: Can I win more than once?

“Unless otherwise stated in the Official Rules, previous Dream Giveaway winners remain eligible to enter future Dream Giveaway promotions.”

Extra free entries1

  • Dream Giveaway promotional partners occasionally hand out complimentary entries outside the mail-in method (not guaranteed or generally available).

Show the rules' wording· sec. 4

“Complimentary Entry. From time to time Dream Giveaway promotional partners may offer complimentary entries.”

Timing3

  • The Promotion Period starts at midnight Eastern Time but ends at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (3 hours later than Eastern) — the free-entry postmark deadline is effectively governed by Pacific time, not Eastern.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 3

“The Shelby Dream Giveaway commences on May 22, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time and ends on October 29, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time (the "Promotion Period").”

  • The entry code mailed back for a Free Entry Method request is worth as many tickets as whatever the highest promotional/bonus offer is on the date of receipt — the count is not fixed and is not disclosed in the rules.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 4

“Subject to additional bonus entry promotional offers (detailed below), one entry code will be returned in the envelope provided, with equal bonus or multiplier entries to that of the highest promotional offer available at the time of receipt.”

  • Registering the mailed-back entry code is a separate deadline (14 days after the promotion ends) from mailing the request (postmarked by the end date, received within 7 days after) — missing either step forfeits the entry.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 4

“All requests for entry codes must be postmarked no later than the end date of the Promotion Period referenced in Section 3 and received no later than seven (7) days following the end date. All entry codes must be registered no later than fourteen (14) days after the end of the Promotion Period.”

Costs2

  • Sponsor pays only the stated withholding amount toward federal taxes — the winner is responsible for all other federal, state and local taxes, fees and assessments on the prize.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 9

“Grand-Prize Winner is responsible for all taxes resulting from winning the Grand-Prize including all federal, state and local, taxes, fees, assessments and like charges.”

  • Winner must sign and return a notarized affidavit of eligibility and a notarized prize-selection affidavit within 7 days of notice, at the winner's expense/effort.

Show the rules' wording· sec. 7

“the Conditional Grand Prize Winner will be required to sign and return to Administrator, within 7 days of the date notice is sent, a notarized affidavit of eligibility, a notarized prize selection affidavit, IRS W-9 form, liability/publicity release (except where prohibited).”

Oddities1

  • The rules let an entry code be registered up to 14 days after the Promotion Period ends, but the winner drawing itself happens 'on or about' only 13 days after the end — one day BEFORE the registration deadline. A mail-in entrant who registers their code near the deadline risks the drawing already having happened without their entry counted.

    Show the rules' wording· sec. 4 / sec. 6

“All entry codes must be registered no later than fourteen (14) days after the end of the Promotion Period. ... On or about November 11, 2026, an independent firm will randomly and electronically select one Conditional Grand Prize Winner and two Alternate Conditional Winners from among all valid Dream Giveaway tickets.”
